Crunch is one of the secondary characters from Alpha Team: Mission Deep Jungle and is Alpha Team's Explosives Expert. While he is tough as nails on the team's worst enemies, he also has a gentler side that he expresses towards his teammates. He originated in LEGO's Alpha Team product line.
Physical Description[]
Crunch wears a mostly black jumpsuit with green overalls, including a green sleeve. He also wears a black bean hat and light gray gloves, along with a headset the rests over his left cheek. He has stubble on his chin, dark eyes, and a long and low unibrow. He stores dynamite in pockets on his jumpsuit.
Characteristics[]
Crunch is Alpha Team's explosives expert and, when out in the field, assumes tactics to match his role. Despite this, he is not temperamental and keeps a level head in most dangerous situations. On the contrary, he is actually very concerned about his teammates and will do anything to keep them safe, no matter the situation. Crunch has a crush on Radia, though he has never admitted this to anyone on the team; the only team member who knows this is Cam Attaway, who was able to draw this conclusion from the fact that Crunch acted sheepish and embarrassed whenever Radia asked him for help. Outside of mission life, Crunch loves playing sports, especially basketball. While Crunch has a considerable amount of strength, he can't swim well.
Before Mustache Maniacs Film Co.[]
Crunch first appeared in the video game LEGO Alpha Team as the first team member that needs to be rescued. Once he is free, he is unlocked as a playable character. In 2001, he appeared in the first wave of LEGO Alpha Team sets in physical form. He went on to appear in a total of two LEGO sets.
For an unknown reason, Crunch never appeared in the 2004-2005 Mission Deep Freeze sets. LEGO has no story reason for this, though he was replaced with a new agent, Diamond Tooth.
Crunch's crush on Radia does not originate from the official LEGO Alpha Team storyline. Instead, this detail comes from the website www.freewebs.com/mylego and was incorporated into the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. canon.
